In the early hours of Tuesday, March 3, we will have an unmissable astronomical spectacle: the first total lunar eclipse in Monterrey, visible throughout Mexico. We’ll tell you the key times so you don’t miss a minute.
The partial eclipse will begin at 3:50 a.m., the total eclipse will begin at 5:04 a.m., and the peak will occur around 5:30–5:33 a.m., when the Moon will be tinged with that characteristic reddish hue that has earned it the name “Blood Moon.”

The meeting point is at 3:00 a.m. in the open field in front of HEB Las Lomas, in Cumbres García. Throughout the early morning, there will be a detailed minute-by-minute explanation of what is happening: from the moment the Earth’s shadow begins to cover the Moon until the peak of the eclipse.
In addition, telescopes will be available to the public, allowing you to observe each phase more clearly and even receive help to photograph the eclipse correctly.
