In the aftermath of tropical storm Alberto, Monterrey was on red alert and the state was affected by the heavy rains. We tell you where to find collection centers in Nuevo León.
A state of emergency has been declared throughout the state and damage counts are still being conducted in different Zones. There are deteriorated roads and access to federal funds for reconstruction is being sought.
In Monterrey, the main damage occurred on the Constitución and Morones Prieto lanes, so the reconstruction will focus on restoring the affected lanes.
The southern Zone of the region has been quite affected, and the main municipalities requiring assistance are: Linares, Aramberri, General Teran, Montemorelos, Hualahuises, Iturbide, Allende and Santiago.
Many people in the state have been affected, and several collection centers to help Nuevo Leon have been opened to collect some of the food supplies that have been in short supply.
